People’s United Bank is offering a new bonus that is available online. You can earn up to $400 for opening a checking account. The offer is available in MA and NY only, through May 31.

The Offer

To receive this offer, you must mention promo code SUMMER21 when you open your new checking account held individually or jointly between 5/1/2021 and 5/31/2021 with a $25 minimum opening deposit.

• To qualify for the $300 checking reward, you must:
  • Open a Advantage Checking or Advantage Plus Checking account;
  • Receive qualifying direct deposits in the account totaling $2,500 or more within 60 days of account opening
• To qualify for the $400 checking reward, you must:
  • Open a Premier Advantage Checking account;

Eligibility

If the checking account is closed within 6 months of opening, bonus amount might be deducted.

Referral Bonus

There is also a $50 referral bonus for both parties, but I am not sure if it stacks with the $400 bonus. Let me know if it has worked for you in the past. I would guess not, but here are the requirements:
