Paul Pogba is all set to miss next Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup
In 2022, Paul Pogba was expected to make a strong comeback. Now that he has raised a warning, he won’t be able to start the Serie A season and, more crucially, he might not be able to play in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Pogba tore his right meniscus while competing in a pre-season friendly against Liga MX team Chivas Guadalajara. Since then, he has been scheduled to consult a doctor to find out what to do next.
Pogba’s injury is a big setback for France and Juventus because one of their finest players if he needs surgery, will be sidelined for at least two months. Even if Pogba is able to return and play a few games before Qatar, his World Cup participation is in jeopardy. According to reports, the excellent midfielder from France is expected to sustain yet another injury following surgery on his right knee. Pogba might sit out up to nine games at the beginning of the season, but more crucially, he might not even be on the French team for the World Cup in 2022.
After spending six years at Manchester United, Pogba returned to Juventus earlier this month on a free transfer. On Saturday, he made his Juventus debut against Guadalajara in a friendly. Additionally, midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s contract with Juventus voluntarily ended on Tuesday, according to Juventus. Ramsey arrived as a free agent in 2019 and was nearing the end of a hefty contract he signed. The Wales international missed Juventus’ preseason tour of the United States since he spent the second half of the previous season on loan at Scottish club Rangers. In their first Serie A game of 2022–23, Juventus will play Sassuolo as they try to win the Italian title for the first time since 2020.
