On National Cinema Day, movie theatres will price all tickets to $3

Jackie Brenneman, president of the Cinema Foundation, commented on National Film Day “After this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing,” she continued, “We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”
After this weekend’s dismal $54 million box office result, one of the lowest weekend grosses of the year, the campaign could provide a welcome boost. Not all box office news this summer has been disappointing
