On his new song “Messy,” Quavo alludes to Saweetie and Offset’s sex encounter
In a new song off his album, Quavo implies that Saweetie is dating former Migos member Offset.
Quavo and Takeoff’s first album together, Only Built for Infinity Links, was released on Friday, and it includes a single titled “Messy.”
Many listeners interpret certain lines as suggesting Quavo’s ex-girlfriend cheated on him with Offset.
Possibly alluding to Saweetie’s recent participation on Yung Miami’s podcast named Caresha Please, Quavon raps, “I said, ‘Caresha please’ ’cause she too messy (Woo, please),”
“B*h fucked my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all) / You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it (You shoulda just said it) / Now st got messy (Uh).”
The internet went crazy once these lyrics were released, with many people speculating that Quavo was alluding to a sex encounter between Saweetie and Offset behind their backs.
A supporter’s tweets about her reaction to the issue reveal her thoughts “that’s so messy. Not only are u cheating on ya wife AGAIN, but this time with ya cousins girlfriend.”
After dating for two years, Saweetie and Quavo called it quits in March 2021, with the ‘Best Friend’ rapper citing “Betrayal” as the reason for their split.
Some people think Quavo is referring to Lil Baby, with whom Saweetie was linked after her and Quavo broke up.
Since May of this year, when Offset unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram and Quavo and Offset began appearing as a duo, the state of the group Migos has been shaky, despite the fact that they have now released their debut album.
According to Quavo’s comments on the Big Facts podcast, the two of them desire to advance their careers together.”Because we came from a loyal family. [We] supposed to stick together. Sometimes when shit don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.”
There has been no word yet from Saweetie, Quavo, or Offset in response to the rumors.
