Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles split up after almost two years of dating
Numerous sources claim that Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde have broken up after being together for nearly two years.
The two are “taking a break,” and “it’s a very amicable decision,” according to People magazine’s citing of people close to the couple.
“He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in LA,” explains a source within the industry. “It’s a very amicable decision.”
Otis, 8, and Daisy, 6, are Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’ children from a previous relationship.
The source states, “are still very close friends,” while a second friend adds, “Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart.”
Wilde was recently pictured on November 15 dancing with her children at one of Styles’ concerts, but the couple’s relationship has been plagued by negative headlines.
A month ago, Wilde and Sudeikis’s ex-nanny claimed in an interview that Sudeikis found out Wilde was seeing Styles thanks to emails he found on an Apple Watch. According to Wilde’s former babysitter, the “Ted Lasso” actor was so distraught at the breakup that he hid under her car to prevent her from visiting Styles.
The interview spurred the exes to patch things up and dispute the nanny’s version of events surrounding their breakup.
They told in a joint statement, “”As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,”
“Her now 18-month-long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”
The two first worked together on the set of “Don’t Worry Darling,” a film that Wilde directed and in which Styles also appeared when she was 38. In January of 2021, they were seen together at a friend’s wedding, which served as the initial bond between them. Wilde was frequently photographed dancing in the crowd and wearing a wide variety of Styles’ goods during his concerts, but the two never publicly confirmed their relationship.
They were caught on camera many times kissing in public, including once aboard a yacht off the coast of Monte Argentario in Italy in July 2021.
After reports surfaced that Florence Pugh, the film’s female star, and Wilde had a falling out before to the film’s September premiere, the pair went through a difficult time.
After reports of a “screaming match” between Wilde and Pugh, the cast and crew of “Don’t Worry Darling” came forward to defend Wilde, praising him as “an incredible leader and director.”
