Following Julian’s message, the “Old Foreman’s Treasure” mission can begin. You’ll need to go to the mine since he’ll ask you to assist Hook there. You and Fersman, Hook’s father, will have to fight off two homeless people who won’t listen to reason.
As reluctant as Fersman may be, you must take him to Natasha after you’ve defeated them. The father will explain the problem and ask for your aid finding the vein detector when you meet him in the clinic. You have to go back to the camp and start questioning the inmates there.
You can have conversations with the Cook, Merchant, Tailor, and Helper in the neighborhood. The Cook will accuse the Helper of stealing from them. Both the tailor and the assistant swear their innocence, but the merchant warns you to be wary of the cook.
You will report your findings to Hook and Swetta after you have finished questioning everyone. According to Swetta, one of them is telling fibs, and it’s up to you to figure out who it is. Hook will provide some helpful indications, including the possibility that the Merchant or the Cook is the thief.
The Cook is the one who should be credited, but he has already fled. You need to follow him into the mine, where the robber is attempting to sell Sampo the vein detector. When confronted, the Cook refuses to hand over the machine, so you’ll have to fight to reclaim it.
Even if you catch the burglar, Hook is devastated because the vein detector was damaged. Sampo proposes visiting Balaway to see if he can repair the machine. After speaking with him, you will learn that the vein detector is beyond repair and that you must go back to Fersman.
Hook’s dad isn’t upset that his daughter’s toy broke, and he appreciates your concern for her safety. After that, the side quest will be complete, and you’ll be rewarded with a ton of Trailblaze Experience Points, Stellar Jade, an Adventure Log, some Shields, and some Credits.
