Nope: Release date
On July 22, the movie is slated to premiere.
The focus of the video is on Kaluuya’s OJ and Palmer’s Em, the two main characters, as the director and cast explain their sibling dynamic and friendship. Peele has called their relationship the heart of the movie.
Nope, dubbed a “expansive horror epic,” will be directed by Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya, who will work once more with Peele after the success of 2017’s Get Out. He is joined by actors Keke Palmer (Hustle) and Oscar-nominated Steven Yeun (Minari), who play locals in a desolate gulch of inland California who have witnessed a startling discovery.
Although much information regarding the project’s characters and plot is currently being withheld, it is anticipated that, like Peele’s prior two directorial efforts, it will be a psychological horror-thriller with socially conscious themes relating to race and society.
Nope: Additional: Cast
Brandon Perea, Michael Wincott, Wrenn Schmidt, Keith David, Donna Mills, Barbie Ferreira, Eddie Jemison, Oz Perkins, Terry Notary, Andrew Patrick Ralston, and Jennifer Lafleur are among the additional cast members.
Jordan Peele, who previously won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his directorial feature debut Get Out, wrote and directed the movie. Prior to the next movie, he was the director of Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke’s 2019 feature Us.
With Peele and Ian Cooper serving as producers, Nope is a Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures venture.
