‘Netflix’ Bastard: Anime Release Date, Plot, Voice cast and Latest News
Among the most prominent online video hosting services, Netflix is among those that treat anime as a distinct genre. They have given various anime specials priority on their list of projects after considering them a viable investment option. One of the best anime originals is going to be released on the OTT platform. One of them is the Bastard Anime, which has been anticipated for a very long time.
Bastard is a highly popular manga series written by Kazushi Hagiwara way back in 1988 and was concluded in 2010. For anyone who enjoy both Glam Rock and D&D, this concert is a must-see. The plot centres around the Kingdom of Metallicana which has to actively fight against the Four Lords of Havoc to defend their realm. The high priest instructs his daughter to bring back to life the powerful wizard trapped inside her childhood friend Lushe Renren. Lushe Renren has very little odds of survival.
Now when the kingdom is under attack, only the most powerful wizard, Dark Schneider, who has the potential to control the globe, can perform his spells and rescue the day.

‘Netflix’ Bastard: Trailer
The trailer of Bastard anime is packed of shonen, brutality, and heavy metallism. The author is clearly an avid lover of heavy metal, as seen by the trailer’s references to bands like Metallica, Anthrax, and many more. The trailer establishes the series as a dark fantasy tale full with spells and wizardry.
Excited fans got chills only from seeing a peek of Dark Schneider, the anti-hero protagonist, casting devastating magic spells. The famed slime scene will be readily recognised by manga aficionados. The opening song is sung by Coldrain, which is a famous Japanese rock band while the closing is sung by Tieli, who is also a highly known songwriter. According to filmmaker Takaharu Ozaki, “the opening and ending are paying tribute to Hagiwara-sensei.”

‘Netflix’ Bastard: Plot
The Japanese manga series was created by Kazushi Hagiwara and first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1988. It then moved to Ultra Jump in 2000. The God of Destruction Anthrasax (Anthrax), the Kingdom of Metallicana (Metallica), and the protagonist Dark Schneider are all named after bands that inspired the author (possibly named Udo Dirkschneider, a famous German singer).
The fall of modern civilisation 400 years ago is shown as the catalyst for the rise of swords and sorcery in Bastard anime. This places the narrative in the far future. The Dark Rebel Army’s ultimate goal is to restore the God of Destruction, Anthrasax, in order to consolidate power and establish global dominance. Even after becoming a God, Anthrasax displays evil behaviour and poses a danger to humanity.
Tia Noto Yoko, daughter of the great priest, must awaken the old great wizard who is locked within her childhood companion Lushe Renren in order to defend the Kingdom of Metallicana on the Central Metallion Continent from the attacks of the sorcerer-led Dark Rebel Army.
Only a virgin’s first kiss can break the seal, so Yoko volunteers to do it. When her lips successfully touch Lucien’s, a wave of dark, potent energy sweeps over the room, reviving the famous wizard Dark Schneider. One of the most intriguing aspects of the Bastard anime is the question of whether or not he will end up being the world’s saviour.
