NBA YoungBoy Not Found Guilty of Gun Felony
Kentrell Gaulden, also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again, was found not guilty of felony gun charges on July 15 in Los Angeles. Authorities found a weapon on the floor of Gaulden’s car when they arrested him in Los Angeles last March, leading to gun possession charges. He said, as reported by Rolling Stone, that he was unaware of the firearm’s presence in his vehicle and had no intention of possessing it. No traces of his DNA or fingerprints were located on the firearm, it was discovered during the trial. The judge made his ruling to reject his lyrics as evidence just three days ago.
Although Gaulden may think he is free now, he is not out of the traps yet. His arrest in Los Angeles has been connected to a case that will go to trial in Louisiana. In 2020, he was apprehended in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for having a firearm that was not properly registered. A court in Louisiana has ruled that video footage collected through a flawed search warrant cannot be used.
