NBA: Phoenix Suns vs Portland Trail Blazers Prediction And Match Preview

On Saturday, the Phoenix Suns will fly into the Moda Center to face Damian Lillard’s Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA’s 2021-22 season’s second night of back-to-back games.

The Suns are coming off a 115-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. In the meantime, the Portland Trail Blazers were defeated by the Sacramento Kings in their season opener.

    Phoenix Suns Preview

The defending Western Conference champions looked fit and confident as they thrashed the Lakers for their first win of the season in their own backyard. The Phoenix Suns led by 30 points at one point, and the Los Angeles Lakers never had any influence over the game.

The Suns bounced back from their opening-day setback to the Nuggets with an outstanding victory. Against the Lakers, Mikal Bridges, Devin Booker, and Chris Paul all scored 20 points, while the squad shot 49 percent from the field as a whole. The Suns will now travel to Portland for the second half of their back-to-back, where they will face a club that has struggled to find its footing.

    Phoenix Suns Predicted Lineup

    G – Chris Paul; G – Devin Booker; F – Jae Crowder; F – Mikal Bridges; C – Deandre Ayton.

    Portland Trail Blazers Preview

The Portland Trail Blazers appeared to be in for another disappointing regular season. Despite their open dissatisfaction with the front management, Notre Dame’s largest offseason signing was Code Zeller, and the status quo appears to be unchanged.

The Blazers’ defense allowed Harrison Barnes to score a career-high 36 points in their season opener against the Sacramento Kings, who shot 42 percent from distance.

There will be no room for error against the Phoenix Suns, who are on a tear. The Blazers face a big risk of losing Damian Lillard in the long run if they do not exhibit encouraging indicators under head coach Chauncey Billups.

    Portland Trail Blazers Predicted Lineup

    G – Damian Lillard; G – CJ McCollum; F – Norman Powell; F – Robert Covington; C – Jusuf Nurkic.

Where to watch Suns vs Trail Blazers?

The Phoenix Suns will play the Portland Trail Blazers in an NBA regular-season game that will be broadcast nationally on NBA TV and locally on Root Sports Phoenix and Bolly Sports Arizona. This game is also available to watch live on NBA League Pass.
