NBA: LA Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Prediction & Match Preview
On October 21st, the Golden State Warriors will play the Los Angeles Clippers at Chase Center in their first home game of the 2021-22 NBA season. The Warriors are coming off of a perfect preseason record. They also won their first game of the regular season against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2021-22. The squad features a strong roster and bench rotation this season, led by Stephen Curry and developing star Jordan Poole in the backcourt.
The Clippers, on the other hand, had a mediocre preseason. On Thursday, they’ll try to snap a three-game losing run and get their 2021-22 season started to a strong start.
LA Clippers Preview
The Los Angeles Clippers have been dealt a major setback with Kawhi Leonard’s injury in the second round of the NBA playoffs in 2021. Despite the fact that Paul George and his teammates carried the team till Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals, they are no longer considered one of the West’s favorites.
Leonard tore his ACL and is expected to return in May 2021, if at all this season. Many commentators, like Skip Bayless of Fox Sports’ Undisputed, believe the Clippers have a legitimate shot at the title if Leonard recovers before the postseason begins.
Because so many players are sidelined, the LA Clippers will have to find something extra from the bench for this game against the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors use a lot of ball movement and have a high IQ. They can’t afford to be sloppy on defense, and they’ll have to blitz Stephen Curry every time he touches the ball. The Los Angeles Clippers have a lot of injuries, so winning this game could be difficult.

Golden State Warriors Preview
The Golden State Warriors won a close game against the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night. Stephen Curry, the team’s talisman, shot terribly from the field, and Klay Thompson and James Wiseman were unavailable.
Despite this, the Warriors were able to win on the road, surviving a combined 67-point performance by LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Nemanja Bjelica, who came off the bench to contribute 15 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and a steal, was outstanding. Jordan Poole also had a strong game, scoring four times in the fourth quarter to help his team pull off a comeback.
Mychal Thompson, Klay Thompson’s father, and a former NBA player believe the Golden State Warriors will be a “dangerous title-contender” once everyone is well again.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry is ecstatic about his teammates and feels their depth and basketball IQ will help the Golden State Warriors win games this season.

Match Prediction: Clippers vs Warriors
Because the Los Angeles Clippers are without a number of key players, including Kawhi Leonard, the Golden State Warriors will have a significant advantage on Thursday night. Despite the absence of Thompson and Wiseman, the Dubs’ chemistry has been outstanding thus far, and the rest of the players appear to be ready to contribute with a “next man up” mindset.
The Golden State Warriors have a higher chance of beating the Los Angeles Clippers in this matchup.
