NBA: Indiana Pacers vs Washington Wizards Injury Report, Predicted Lineups and Starting Fives

On Friday, the Indiana Pacers will play the Washington Wizards in a thrilling NBA 2021-22 regular-season matchup at Capital One Arena. Following a one-point loss to the Hornets in their opening game, the Pacers will seek to get their season back on track against the Wizards.

The Pacers were impressive in their season-opening, but LaMelo Ball starred with 31 points to lead the Hornets to a 123-122 victory. Domantas Sabonis had a double-double, scoring 33 points and grabbing 15 rebounds while shooting 68.4% from the floor. When the Pacers enter the court against the Wizards on Friday, he’ll be hoping to maintain his current form.

Meanwhile, the new-look Wizards began their regular-season campaign with a 98-83 victory over the Toronto Raptors, after going winless in the preseason. They’ll look to keep their winning streak alive by putting on another strong showing against the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

    Injuries to the Indiana Pacers

For their game against the Washington Wizards, the Indiana Pacers have a long injury list. TJ Warren, Caris LeVert, and Kelan Martin have all been ruled out of the game due to injury.

The Pacers’ team that faced the Hornets on Wednesday included Torrey Craig, Justin Holiday, and Jeremy Lamb. For this game, though, they have been rated as dubious.

Injury Report for the Washington Wizards

For their game against the Pacers, the Washington Wizards will be without a couple of players as well. Due to a right hip contusion, their key player, Bradley Beal, is rated as questionable. Due to a right calf issue, Anthony Gill is also questionable for this game. Thomas Bryant, Rui Hachimura, and Cassius Winston are among the Wizards players who have been ruled out of tonight’s game against the Pacers.

Indiana Pacers vs. Washington Wizards Lineups Predicted

    Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers are expected to use the same starting lineup as they did against the Hornets. In that game, Malcolm Brogdon and Chris Duarte were outstanding, and they appear to be a promising backcourt for the Pacers.

Justin Holiday and Domantas Sabonis are anticipated to start in the frontcourt. The holiday was labeled as a game-time decision for the first game, but he started and looked crisp in his 25 minutes on the field. Against the Wizards, Myles Turner should start at center.

    Washington Wizards

Bradley Beal has been designated as questionable for this game by the Wizards. Raul Neto might start in the backcourt alongside Spencer Dinwiddie if the Wizards elect to rest him. Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are expected to lead the frontcourt. The Wizards are expected to start Daniel Gafford at the center, with Montrezl Harrell joining the rotation.
