NBA: Brooklyn Nets vs Boston Celtics: Injury Report, Predicted Lineups and Starting 5s

The Brooklyn Nets will go to TD Garden to face the Boston Celtics in a matchup between two Eastern Conference clubs with championship hopes. The Brooklyn Nets have dropped out of first place in the Eastern Conference rankings. They’ve lost three of their last ten games in the NBA and are on a three-game losing streak. However, Kevin Durant’s return is a much-needed boost for the team, which is now mired in uncertainty. That’s because Kyrie Irving isn’t available for home games, and Ben Simmons has yet to play a single minute for the squad.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have had a difficult season thus far, with whispers of player unhappiness circulating. The Celtics are seventh in the East with a 38-27 record under rookie head coach Ime Udoka. However, they appear to have turned a turnaround, having won eight of their previous ten games, and it will once again be up to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to lead Boston to victory.

Injury Report for the Brooklyn Nets

Ben Simmons is the lone player that has been confirmed to miss this game versus the Celtics due to a back issue. Seth Curry is being watched on a day-to-day basis due to an ankle injury but is listed as probable. Joe Harris will have season-ending surgery on his ankle.

Injury Update for the Boston Celtics

Aaron Nesmith, who suffered an ankle sprain against the Memphis Grizzlies, was the sole confirmed absentee for the game against the Nets. Due to an ankle injury, he suffered against the Atlanta Hawks, Jaylen Brown is also labeled as questionable. Aside from that, the Celtics’ whole roster is available.
