Mysterious Gift and Manaphy Egg Guide: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
The Mystery Gift event in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl allows players to obtain an egg for Manaphy, the Seafaring Pokémon, as well as a new attire for your trainer. The Manaphy Egg and costume are only available for a limited time: they will be accessible until February 21, 2022.
According to the official Pokémon website, you’ll need an internet connection for this, but you don’t need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to redeem the things.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE MANAPHY EGG?
Pause the game to bring up the main menu, where you may access your Pokémon, Pokédex, Bag, and so on.
From there, “Mystery Gift” may appear as an option in the bottom left of the menu. It appears to be a small gift box. Congratulations if you do! You have gained access to the Mystery Gift function. Here’s how to get it if you don’t already have it.
The Mystery Gift function emerges after the Veilstone gym, according to a Dexerto guide. Our experience appears to back this up, since we have a screenshot of the menu shortly before the third gym that doesn’t contain it, but here’s one that does.
If it isn’t on your menu, there is a way to access it before the third gym. You must go to the Jubilife TV Station in Jubilife City to do so.
Take the elevator to the third floor and speak with the two characters at the far end of the room. The character on the left will ask if you have an opinion about the television show, to which you must respond “Yes.”
You’ll continue talking, and they’ll ask you to choose from a menu of programming possibilities. “EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION” should be selected. Once you’ve done that, the Mystery Gift option should appear on your menu.
Now that we’ve got the Mystery Gift option, open the menu, click on it, and then select “Get via Internet.”
This will take you to a screen with two options: Manaphy Egg Gift or Clothing Gift.
After that, all you have to do is choose one of the two options. A sequence will play, displaying a small animation of the gift arriving, and then you’ll have your outfit or Manaphy Egg! All you have to do now is repeat the process to obtain the second item.
