“My Mother’s Wedding – Scarlett Johansson set to Star in Kristin Scott Thomas, upcoming film”
According to Deadline, Oscar contender Scarlett Johansson has officially signed on to star in Kristin Scott Thomas’ upcoming directorial debut film, My Mother’s Wedding, directed by celebrated actress Kristin Scott Thomas. Sienna Miller (Foxcatcher), Emily Beecham (Little Joe), and Freida Pinto will also star in the drama (Slumdog Millionaire).
In addition to this impending drama, Johansson will next be featured in Asteroid City, her first Wes Anderson picture, Disney’s live-action remake of Tower of Terror, and Apple Studios’ space race film Project Artemis, which reunites her with long-time partner Chris Evans.
Kristin Scott Thomas is directing My Mother’s Wedding, which is based on a script she co-wrote with John Micklethwait. Finola Dwyer and Steven Rales are the producers. The production is currently under progress.
My Mother’s Wedding: Synopsis
The film will be based on Elizabeth Jane Howard’s novel The Sea Change, which was published in 1959. The story revolves around Emmanuel, a well-known London playwright, and his sickly and resentful wife Lillian, who is still suffering the loss of their daughter. When they travel to a distant Greek island, their tumultuous marriage takes an unexpected turn.
