Although you can’t disable baserunning entirely, you may have the computer take over for you when it comes to making your way around the bases in MLB. To enable or disable this feature, select General Gameplay from the Settings menu at the top right of the screen and then click on Decisions. You may use the Auto Baserunning feature from that menu. When this option is off, baserunning is left to the player, according to the settings they choose at game beginning.

Finally, this option is always off whether the user is Player Locked or participating in Online Play.
