Minecraft: How to use Smite enchantment
Smite is only one of several useful enchantments players may find in Minecraft. Of course, like many Minecraft enchantments, its precise function isn’t explained. We’ll fill you in on what the Smite enchantment does and how to acquire it in Minecraft. In no time at all, you’ll be able to inflict greater harm on the undead!
Minecraft: How to use Smite enchantment

Infusing a sword or axe with the power to smite is a common practise. When this is achieved, it has the effect of increasing damage done against undead enemies. They are:
- Skeletons
- Zombies
- Withers
- Wither Skeletons
- Zombie Pigment
- Skeleton Horses
- Strays
- Husks
- Phantoms
- Drowned
The Smite enchantment increases the damage dealt to undead enemies by 2.5 for every level it is upgraded. The maximum level of enchantment for Smite is 5.
This enchantment may come in handy if you spend a lot of time fighting zombies in Minecraft’s blocky environment.
Where to find Smite Enchantment
An element of RNG luck is there, as is customary with any enchantment.
Prepare your enchantment table and lay out a Lapiz Lazuli and the blade or axe you wish to enchant on it. Do not bother finding another book to enchant your weapon with the Smite spell if you already own one of these.
If you don’t have the enchantment book, you’ll need to expose each enchantment that pops up when you put the Lapis Lazuli in the enchantment table’s slot.
Each item’s experience requirement is shown next to it. Unlock and see as many as you can and hope that Smite pops up.
