“Mike’ – Hulu’s Series Gets Release date, and Teaser Trailer Shows Trevante Rhodes as Mike Tyson”
Mike, Hulu’s newest biographical drama series based on the life of famed boxer Mike Tyson and produced by the I, Tonya crew, has debuted its first teaser. The premiere date has been set on August 25.

According to the blurb, “the series chronicles the dynamic and contentious story of Mike Tyson.” “From being a revered global athlete to a pariah and back again, the eight-episode limited series chronicles the dramatic ups and downs of Tyson’s boxing career and personal life.” The series tackles class, racism, popularity, and the power of the media through the prism of Mike Tyson, as well as misogyny, the wealth difference, the promise of the American Dream, and, ultimately, our own part in crafting Mike’s tale.”
We get our first look at Trevante Rhodes as the sports legend in the Mike teaser, which you can see here along with the key art poster. It also depicts Tyson at various times of his life, including his early years, his burgeoning fame, and his troubled relationship with Laura Harrier’s portrayal of his first wife, actress Robin Givens.
Steven Rogers conceived and executive produced Mike, with Karin Gist as showrunner and executive producer. The I, Tonya crew, which includes director Craig Gillespie, Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan, and LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie, are executive producers.
