Max Cash Preferred Card Review
Elan recently launched a new product that is available at multiple credit unions. The product is called the Max Cash Preferred Card and it works mostly on the Visa network.
However, there is at least one credit union that issues a Mastercard version, which can be a more preferable option since you get cell phone protection. The card has 5% quarterly categories and 2% categories. It has no annual fee and there’s also a signup bonus of $150.
Signup Bonus
Earn a one-time $150 bonus after eligible net purchases totaling $500 or more are made to your account within 90 days from account opening.
Reward points can be redeemed as a cash deposit to a checking or savings account with your Financial Institution which will be deposited within 7 days, or as a statement credit to your credit card account, which will be deposited within one to two billing cycles or as a Rewards Card ($25 minimum redemption). Please allow 6-8 weeks after you have met the spend requirement for your bonus to be credited to your rewards balance.

A good card to have in your wallet, preferably if it’s challenging to get approved for the U.S. Bank Cash+ card. The Max Cash Preferred Card is issued through Elan Financial Services so approval should be easier. The card has no annual fee and a $150 bonus. Every quarter you get to pick two categories to earn 5% and another one to earn 2%. Take a look at the categories listed, and figure out if it makes sense for you. Also let me know if you come across any other banks or credit unions that issue this card., so I can add them to the list.
