Madonna slammed Tory Lanez for ‘illegally using’ her songs
Madonna slammed Tory Lanez for “illegal usage” one of her songs on Instagram on Wednesday.
It seems the pop singer had privately contacted Lanez about the issue, and received no answer, the remark reads: “Read your messages tor illegal usage of my song get into the groove!”
Lanez released “Alone At Prom” on December 10. According to Vibe, Madonna is referencing to Lanez’s song “Pluto’s Last Comet,” which samples her 1984 smash “Get Into The Groove” Lanez has not yet replied to Madonna’s remark.

In half his Instagram story, Lebron is singing ALONE AT PROM, Lanez wrote on December 12. “…. my life tonight is complete.”
But Madonna’s accusations of unauthorised sampling come as the controversial rapper who is already accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot at a party in the summer of 2020.
At a preliminary trial on December 14, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Borjon upheld the accusations against Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson.
According to Insider’s Azmi Haroun, if convicted on felony assault and weapons charges, Lanez could face up to 22 years in jail.
Lanez has maintained his innocence and pled not guilty in November 2020.
