Ludacris manager Chaka Zulu was shot and wounded in Atlanta

Chaka Zulu, a longtime manager of Ludacris, was shot in the vicinity of Peachtree Road on June 26 at about 11:35 p.m. Three males were killed in the incident, which happened in the Buckhead neighborhood. According to accounts, they were rushed to a hospital, where one of them passed away. Police have not yet identified a suspect, and they have stated that the investigation is still open and active. The shooting was the result of an argument that broke out in the parking lot behind a strip mall on Peachtree Road, the officials who relayed the news to 11Alive explained. Homicide investigators went to the site. Additionally, according to 11alive, police have towed at least three vehicles with them and have videotaped that they plan to review in order to hunt for any potentially incriminating evidence.

Additionally, Lt. Germaine Dearlove of the Atlanta Police Department told WSB-TV, “We have three people shot at the spot. A fight in the parking lot resulted in one death and two hospitalizations. Some accounts also suggest that Zulu was attempting to break up a fight when the shooting occurred outside of the APT 4B restaurant, which he owns. The police’s film, according to 11Alive, can assist them to identify the shooter even though he or she is still at large.

    Who is Chaka Zulu?

Although many people may not be familiar with him, he is a well-liked figure in the hip-hop scene. He co-founded the record company Disturbing Tha Peace Records and has handled artists over the years including Chingy, Bobby Valentino, Young Jeezy, Swizz Beatz, Big K.R.I.T., and Childish Major in addition to being Ludacris’ longtime manager. After agreeing to a long-term contract in 2008, the label is now a division of Def Jam Records. According to Zulu’s biography on the Home Depot Backyard Juneteenth event page, he most recently worked for Spotify as Head of Artist & Talent. Among his earlier accomplishments was his time spent as Monster’s Vice President of Sports and Entertainment Marketing.

At an Atlanta Hawks game earlier this year, the veteran musician from Atlanta was honored as the ninth winner of the “Forever 404 Honors presented by Sharecare.” “It is an honor to serve and be valued by the city of Atlanta, which has given me so much,” Chaka Zulu stated in response to the distinction. With such a long tradition of acclaimed individuals who truly represent the idea that the community comes before the individual. We thank you on behalf of our family for this award! To recognize Chaka Zulu’s contribution to the music industry, Sharecare gave $1,000 to the Ludacris Foundation. The success of T.I., Ludacris, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Iggy Azalea, Outkast, Cee-Lo Green, 8 Ball & MJG, B.O.B., Dj Drama, and Big K.R.I.T. is allegedly attributed to Zulu.
