Lil Uzi Vert Has Changed His Pronouns to They/Them on Instagram
Over the weekend, Lil Uzi Vert silently switched to they/them pronouns on social media.
Next to Lil Uzi Vert’s name on their Instagram page is the update, along with the words “Endless Venim…
Kawaii girls think I’m cool…
Red & White = P!NK” with a bunch of emojis thrown in for good measure.
Lil Uzi Vert has been outspoken in his support of the LGBTQ+ community for quite some time. The rapper has worn rainbow-themed attire during Pride Month and has often questioned the rules of hip-hop culture by playing with the notions of gendered apparel while keeping deliberately elusive about their own sexual orientation.
Symere Bysil Woods, better known as LUV, has revealed their next EP, Red & White, as the follow-up to 2020’s Eternal Atake and 2019’s Pluto x Baby Pluto, a joint effort with Future. Lil Uzi Vert has not announced a release date for the EP, but it will be published before their planned mixtape The Pink Tape, which is slated for a later release this year.
Meanwhile, the star has been busy trying to become the first person to ever buy a planet, implanting a $24 million diamond in their forehead, removing the diamond four months later, having the diamond re-implanted several weeks later, having the diamond ripped out of their forehead after diving into a crowd at Rolling Loud Miami, and encountering a significant insurance problem due to the unique facial jewellery.
The group also performed at Rolling Loud New York and Day N Vegas 2021, but they still managed to collaborate with Mura Masa, PinkPantheress, and Shygirl on “bbycakes” in February.
