Kid Cudi Walks Off Stage after being heckled by Crowd as Kanye Makes Surprise Entry
Friday night’s Rolling Loud Festival in Miami began with the headliner, Kid Cudi, abruptly ending his performance when crowd members threw items on stage. While Lil Durk was performing, Kanye West, who had previously backed out of Rolling Loud’s schedule, made a cameo during his own set on Friday night.
Kid Cudi joined the lineup of Rolling Loud earlier this week, standing in for his former partner turned competitor, Kanye West, who had to cancel at the last minute. Audience members continuously stopped Kid Cudi’s performance by throwing objects at him and yelling West’s name, indicating that the rivalry between the two rappers had reached the crowd. Cudi stepped off stage after 30 minutes of his set, as captured on video by fans.
A few minutes after Cudi wrapped up his set, Kanye West made a surprise cameo with fellow Chicago rapper Lil Durk to perform “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.” (a song which features Cudi singing the chorus).
The reason for West’s departure from Rolling Loud’s roster is still a mystery. Kid Cudi’s association with Pete Davidson (who is currently dating West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian) is thought to be the root of his conflict with Cudi.
