Keanu Reeves discussed joining the MCU with Marvel
There is no denying that Keanu Reeves is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood, yet he has yet to appear in any of the Marvel films. Kevin Feige and The Matrix Resurrections star James Gunn have met to explore future collaboration with Marvel Studios, according to a recent interview with ComicBook.com.
He said, “We haven’t yet,” when asked if they had discovered a role for him to play in a Marvel movie. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting [Kevin Feige]. Yeah. But no, we don’t have anything, so we’ll have to come up with something.” His response suggests that Marvel will ultimately discover a job that is a suitable match for him. You never know if that character will turn out to be good or bad.
Last month, when asked if he’d like to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Reeves expressed the same attitude. Surely it is more vast than the cosmos. It’s a ‘Marvel-verse,’ somewhat like a multiverse. It’d be an honour, I tell you. This is something that “no one’s really ever done,” the filmmaker remarked. “Some really amazing directors and visionaries,” he said. “In terms of scale, ambition, and production, it’s unique.” To be a part of it, then, would be a thrill.”
Although it may take some time, it appears like Reeves will be joining the MCU in the near future. On December 22, we’ll get a taste of what he looks like when The Matrix Resurrections premieres in cinemas and on HBO Max.
