Kate Winslet will play the lead role in the upcoming series The Palace
Kate Winslet returns to HBO for the limited series The Palace after the success of the miniseries The Mare of Easttown. She will oversee production. The Succession trio of Will Tracy, Frank Rich, and The Queen director Stephen Frears are responsible for it. Tracy will direct the program, develop the script, and oversee production. Rich is also an executive producer alongside director Stephen Frears. The Palace, a Kate Winslet HBO series, is set behind the fortified walls of a palace with an autocratic government that is beginning to fall.
The Onion’s Seth Reiss, who previously wrote for Late Night with Seth Meyers, Juli Weiner of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Jen Spyra of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Gary Shteyngart of The Russian Debutante’s Handbook, and Sarah DeLappe will all contribute to the script (Bodies, Bodies).

Along with John Douglas Thompson (21 Bridges), Guy Pierce (Memento), Jean Smart (Hacks), Angourie Rice (Spider-Man: No Way Home), and Evan Peters, it also included Julianne Nicholson (The Outsider), Jean Smart, and Joe Tippett (American Horror Story).
The Palace is the actress’s fourth HBO project. She played Mildred Pierce in 2011. She executive produces and stars in Mare of Easttown’s Trust. She is preparing to begin filming the biopic Lee, which she is producing and is based on the life and work of photographer Lee Miller. The actress will be very busy beginning in December. She will play the lead in The Way of Water, the eagerly anticipated Avatar sequel, in December. She will go on to star in Lee, Fake!, and Naya, Legend of the Golden Dolphin.
