Kanye West hires Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez
Recently, Kanye West has been in the news for his contrasting opinions and contentious statements on sensitive topics including the ‘White Lives Matter’ fashion show and the death of George Floyd from a Fentanyl overdose, both of which will require legal action.
He contracted the help of the business Brown Rudnick, where Camille Vasquez plays a pivotal role. Multiple matters involving Kanye West have apparently reached the courtroom, and TMZ reports that it is unclear in what capacity Vasquez will assist West.
After a stellar performance in the highly publicized and widely viewed Depp v. Heard trial, Camille became an instant celebrity in the legal world.
In addition to his divorce proceedings with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West is also being sued by the family of George Floyd for his inflammatory comments about Floyd’s death, which he made in a podcast. West claimed that Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose, rather than at the hands (or knees) of the police.
Not only that, but he has also reneged on deals with companies like Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga that were supposed to be partners in the expansion of Kanye’s Yeezy brand.
Even Kim Kardashian, one of his closest confidantes, chose to take a step back and let Kanye be Kanye because so many people worry about his mental health and want to help him by communicating with him, but it seems that he is a one-track-mind where he is not really taking anyone’s advise.
