K-pop sensation BTS announced a sudden break
The Korean pop sensations BTS are now on hiatus. A long supper was videotaped and posted on social media as the South Korean boy band made their announcement.
According to the translated version of their video, RM, the group’s leader, said, “I always thought that BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature,”
He continued by saying that despite the group’s efforts throughout the years, they now seem to be drifting aimlessly.
To clarify, they are not on sabbatical but will take time to explore certain individual projects at this time and will continue active in multiple different formats, according to a statement published by the band’s entertainment business, Hybe.
The seven members of BTS are seen in the video lounging around a big table. As wall art, balloons and the phrases “BTS Festa” adorn the space.
In 2013, BTS made their public debut. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, the band’s members, have spent over 30 years together, and the group has become one of the most famous in the world.
They recently utilised their status to protest anti-Asian bigotry at the White House.
However, Jin claims that they now approach their job more mechanically than before.
“I have my own hobbies, too, and things I want to do on my own,” he remarked.
As Suga admits in the video, it is been tough to write lyrics at all, let alone ones with any depth.
They indicated that the band has to take a step back and focus on developing as individuals if they want to continue.
RM has suggested that they strike out on their own. He eventually came to express his desire for BTS to be active for a considerable amount of time.
They did mention that they will be back after the holiday.
