“Jon Snow’ – George R.R. Martin Confirms Game of Thrones spin-off sequel Series Is in Development at HBO”
A Game of Thrones spin-off sequel series centred on Jon Snow was reportedly under development at HBO. Author George R.R. Martin and ex-Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke are now disclosing some details about the show.
Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen in the show, revealed in a recent interview with the BBC that Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, had previously told her about it and that, as far as she is aware, Harington is working on the entire production.
Clarke said, “He has told me about it” (via The Hollywood Reporter). I am aware that it exists. It’s taking place. As far as I can tell, Kit is involved from the beginning because he created it. So, hopefully, if it happens, what you’ll be watching has Kit Harington’s seal of approval.
The series, which has the working title of Snow, was presented to Martin by Harington, who also brought with him a number of writers to the project, all of whom Martin was unable to name at the time. While Clarke didn’t provide any additional details, Martin corroborated them in a recent blog post.
“Yes, Kit Harington introduced the concept to us. Since that information has not yet been approved for release, I am unable to disclose the writers’ or showrunners’ names. Martin revealed that he was involved in the creative aspect of the series, noting that he had been working with Kit, who had also brought them in, his own team, and they are fantastic The Jon Snow series, along with many other Game of Thrones projects, are all still in the very early scripting stages, according to Kit Harington’s team as well as his own team.
