“Joker 2′ – Lady Gaga May Play as Harley Quinn in Musical Sequel”
Joker 2 will apparently be a musical, which will set it apart from the original.
While director Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix are returning for Joker: Folie à Deux, The Hollywood Reporter reports that the dark character piece will now include songs and be a musical. As a result, the character of Harley Quinn will be added, with Lady Gaga now in talks to play the Joker’s romantic interest
Character specifics for this incarnation of Quinn are presently unknown, although the character is a psychiatrist who became the Joker’s sidekick after falling in love with the criminal. The article also mentions that Phoenix’s return agreement isn’t finalised, but negotiations are “deep into completing a transaction
Joker 2: Synopsis
According to the synopsis, “director Todd Phillips’ original, stand-alone origin story Joker explores the universe of—and according to—Arthur Fleck.” “Arthur, as brilliantly represented by Phoenix, is a guy facing society’s hostility and blatant derision, as well as the indifference of a system that permits him to spiral from vulnerability into depravity.” He works as a clown for hire during the day and aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but the joke is always on him. He’s out of sync with everyone around him, as seen by his irrepressible, inappropriate laughter, which builds momentum as he tries to restrain it, exposing him to additional mockery—and even violence.
“Arthur, who devotes himself to care for his frail mother, searches out every father figure he’s never had, from a wealthy businessman to a homeless man Murray Franklin, TV host Thomas Wayne In a circular existence hovering on the edge of reality and crazy, one bad decision sets off a chain reaction of increasing, eventually fatal events.”
