Jeffree Star claims he “Escaped The Illuminati” and intended to expose everything
We tend to think that the highest-profile figures in Hollywood’s entertainment industry have achieved the pinnacle of success when we look at them and see that they are wealthy, famous, and influential. Recently, though, stars like Britney Spears and Ye (previously known as Kanye West) have spoken out about how their careers and personal lives have been more of a nightmare than a dream. On Friday, famous beauty influencer Jeffree Star startled the Internet by tweeting that he narrowly escaped Hollywood alive and that he was stopped from sharing the truth about the elites.
Jeffree Star has built a thriving YouTube career on the back of his striking, flamboyant, androgynous makeup looks. Searching for “Jeffree Star” on Google, however, will bring up a number of stories from the year 2020 discussing the backlash against Jeffree Star and his cosmetics line. A Vox piece states that he “had a past replete with prejudice and intimidation.”
Star is also accused of racism and the sexualization of children in a piece published by the New York Times and written by Taylor Lorenz, a journalist for the Washington Post who has been known to dox conservative activists and journalists like Libs of TikTok’s (Chaya Raichik). Reading these pieces, one would get the impression that Jeffree is a “problematic” Nazi sympathiser who stirs up trouble in the fashion and cosmetics industries. On top of that, Lorenz referred to him as a “older white millennial beauty influencer” who is on the decline.
After these pieces about Star and his company, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, were published in 2020, public opinion shifted and many customers stopped purchasing his goods. In light of recent events, he has taken to Twitter to assert that these assaults were premeditated, with the sole motivation being his ambition to expose the rotten nature of the Hollywood film industry.
“What a crazy f*cking year… I escaped the illuminati in 2021 and they still haven’t killed me. Every day I wake up grateful,” On Friday, he tweeted to his massive audience of 6.4 million.
After selling his $15 million Los Angeles property last year, Star relocated to a massive ranch in Wyoming. He gave up the glitz of Los Angeles in favour of raising yaks and camels, but he’s still very much a part of the YouTube beauty and makeup community.
Recent tweets, however, suggest that he left the city for reasons other than fresh air. Apparently he was fleeing from a frightening threat, he left Los Angeles on purpose. “In 2020 I was going to expose everything… In a matter of days, the Hollywood elite tried to ruin my entire career, villainize me and flooded the news with lies to discredit me. If you guys only knew the truth about what they are doing to Britney & Kayne,” Minutes after his last tweet, he sent out another one.
