Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, was arrested for storming into her wedding
At the house of Britney Spears and fiancé Sam Asghari, ex-husband Jason Alexander was arrested on Thursday.
Sheriff’s officials in Ventura County said Alexander, who was married to Spears for 55 hours before the marriage was dissolved in 2004, was chased and held by security when he showed up at the property.
The Thousand Oaks sheriff’s station received a report about a trespasser about 2 p.m., a spokeswoman said.
According to the source, Alexander, 40, was first detained on suspicion of a 2016 Napa County felony warrant. According to him, he was later detained in Ventura County on accusations of misdemeanour violence, vandalism, and trespassing.
The spokesperson stated late Thursday that an emergency protective order had been granted mandating him to keep away from Spears.
Henry Wofford, a spokesperson for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, said that the warrant was for grand theft and receiving stolen items.
Ventura County detained Alexander. Due to an outstanding warrant, Wofford placed the bail at $20,000, he added.
Lawyer Mathew Rosengart said he appreciated authorities for their speedy response.
He told “Britney is safe,”
In September, Spears and Asghari made official their engagement.
Her conservatorship was terminated in November when a court decided to sever the 13-year arrangement that had legally prevented Spears from making her own personal and financial decisions.
