Jansen Panettiere younger brother of Hayden Panettiere died at age of 28
Hayden Panettiere’s younger brother, Jansen Panettiere, has died at the age of 28, his representative informed.
TMZ reports that Jansen died in New York over the weekend. The news site cited a law enforcement official who said that officials were summoned to a house on February 19 around 5:30 p.m. local time. At this stage, detectives do not suspect foul play.
Jansen, born five years after Hayden, followed his famous sister into Hollywood at an early age. He made his acting debut in 2002 with roles in Even Stevens and the Jacob Two-Two cartoon.
Hope & Faith, Third Watch, Tiger Cruise, and Everyone Hates Chris are just a few of the shows where Jansen has appeared since then. He also continued with voiceover work, lending his talents to Blue’s Clues, Robots, Ice Age: The Meltdown and The X’s.
This decade saw Jansen’s performances in The Walking Dead, The Perfect Game, 8, The Forger, and The Martial Arts Child, among others.
While acting was his primary focus, Jansen also enjoyed painting and frequently posted photos of his works on Instagram. His last post was a photo of his partner, Catherine Michie, posing next to a colorful portrait.
Catherine wrote a touching eulogy for the late artist, saying, “Jansen, I met you only a year ago, but you have been my best friend and biggest fan.”
Catherine continued on, “I will never forget the first time I saw your face and the first things you said to me, “Words cannot express the pain of knowing I won’t hear your laugh again. I hope you find peace, and I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me most.”
She also explained “The world is better because you were in it. I know we will paint together again someday. I’ll always be your sugarpop.”
Only last month, Jansen showed out a photo of himself getting a trim from his sibling. With the black-and-white photo, which showed the Nashville actress joyfully snipping his brown locks, Jansen added, “Not the first haircut she’s tried to give me.”
