A foldable iPhone, which we’ll name “iPhone Flip,” has been rumored for a long time. Apple is secretive, thus such a device may be in R&D. Yet, this is still a supposition. Apple’s iPhone Flip Release Date, Design, Cameras, and Other Specs, here’s everything we know about Apple’s folding iPhone!

iPhone Flip release date
Apple is exploring ideas for one or more foldable iPhones, but insiders say the firm isn’t sold yet. A foldable iPhone may take years or never arrive. Remember that 2025 is the latest estimate in many rumors and predictions. Three years ago, experts and leakers projected a foldable iPhone by 2021, then 2022, then 2023. It’s 2025, but don’t expect this prediction to be more accurate than the others.
I expected Apple to launch a foldable iPhone as soon as 2024 in my reports last year, but now it's clear this prediction needs to be revised. I predict Apple may launch its first foldable product in 2025 at the earliest, which may be a foldable iPad or a hybrid of iPad & iPhone. https://t.co/HGIDPFvdar

Foldable devices haven’t overtaken the iPhone yet. Apple sells hundreds of millions of iPhones each year without trying. Apple has no need to prioritize an iPhone Flip unless that slows or competitor handsets like the Galaxy Z Flip 4 become hugely popular. iPhone users who want a foldable phone soon may have to switch teams.
iPhone Flip design/display

By 2020, Apple and Samsung Display had agreed to produce a “substantial quantity” of foldable display samples for iPhone prototype testing. Apple was also testing hinges for a 100,000-fold display.

Jon Prosser, a leaker, said his sources told him that following the first hinge testing, Apple would focus on a clamshell folding iPhone like the Galaxy Z Flip. Prosser also said the new iPhone will have “joyful” hues for “more general buyers.” Apple’s latest foldable device designs don’t guarantee anything. This is encouraging for a foldable iPhone.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s early 2021 story may disprove leakers’ claims of seeing foldable iPhone prototypes. Gurman claims Apple “doesn’t currently have entire handset prototypes in its labs” for a foldable iPhone.
In the two years after that story, Apple has only sometimes confirmed that it is still experimenting with different designs. Cameras, CPUs, and other characteristics are unknown. At this point, Apple may not have taken these selections. There’s much conjecture, but it should be treated skeptically.
