Welcome to our guide of “Ikai: How To Finish The Nozuchi Ritual?”. There are numerous Yokai in Japanese culture, and many will come to attack you in Ikai. Some will be more sluggish than others, but once they notice you, they will chase you. You’ll meet hazardous humanoid and beast-like monsters. During the nighttime, you’ll go to the central shrine building, where you’ll confront the Nozuchi, the first ferocious Yokai. It’s violent, and you’ll have to avoid it continually if you want to finish the ritual and slay the Yokai forever.

What is the Nozuchi in Ikai?

The Nozuchi is a giant snake-style Yokai that looks like a dark fuzzy caterpillar. It is a being born of mutation, usually of malevolent monks. They prefer to hide in fields and grasslands, where they may readily conceal themselves while hunting their prey. Their food is confined to small woodland critters that they can consume whole due to their size. Sadly, they continue to assault humans, and that is terrible news for priestess. You’ll need to get out of the range of the Nozuchi since all it needs is one bite to slay you.

How to finish the Nozuchi Ritual in Ikai?

Not like the Kijo, Nozuchi is persistent and will chase you. Your only alternative is to run until you can return to the temple and retrieve its cursed item. There’s a detailed guide for each Nozuchi contact, but completing the process will need multiple challenges. After the Nozuchi comes in the shrine, you must escape until you find a sealed room. After that, move the carpet to uncover a combination-locked trap door. To open the lock, you must insert multiple photos. Examine several line marks around the area to find the answer. Each one corresponds to a close object with an image.
The items should be placed in the order – a game board, an umbrella, an origami crane and lastly the pot lid. Trap door opens into a network of caverns. So take the nearest lantern & go explore! You’ll have to make the appropriate turns or risk crashing into the Nozuchi. The route is 4 times left, 1 right, again 1 left and 3 rights. Continue to the dark chamber with the well in the centre.

    How to succeed in sequences?

Grab the well’s edge bag & it will drop in. Succeeding sequences require interaction with the bag. Locate rungs to put in the crevice to exit the well. You’ll need to search through the adjacent demon remains, which will come alive when approached. Keep your length, and they’ll crumble, revealing rungs. You’ll need bamboo sticks with a distinct shape and a dark colour. Three will be amid the bones & one beside a wall.

You can exit the building & enter the woodland after climbing out of the well. You’ll have to conceal in the shrubs to avoid the prowling Nozuchi. Fireflies will highlight hiding bushes when you squat. Nozuchi won’t notice you passing by them. Wait till it passes and then move between the bushes. Follow the wooden arrows back to the temple stairs, which will be lit. While on Shrine grounds, turn left immediately after entering to find a well. The Nozuchi’s evil will be contained in a watery item. Return to the Temple to write on a table, taking intervals between strikes to avoid being caught. Scurry back to that well & seal the ritual.
