How you can hide photographs on your iPhone

How you can hide photographs on your iPhone

If you periodically give your family members access to your iPhone, you would fervently disagree that they should be able to view your private photos alongside those in your photo library. Apple allows iPhone users to hide their private photos by moving them to a secret collection, allowing you to have mental harmony while giving someone your iPhone. Here, we’ll explain how, using iOS 16, you can store photos on your iPhone.

The option to hide photos and videos on an iPhone has been available for some time, but iOS 16 makes it a little bit safer. It makes sense that earlier versions of iOS allowed users to transfer their photos from their default library to a secret collection. However, your private images were easily accessible to anyone with access to your open iPhone via the Secret collection, which was only a tap away from revealing your delicate photos. Another factor that reduced the security of your hidden photos was the fact that, even though they were hidden in the Photos program, any third-party application with an image picker would continue to display your private photos.

By requiring Face ID, Contact ID, or your device password to access the Secret collection in the Photographs program on iOS 16, Apple has increased security. This means that in order to prevent anybody else from accessing the images you send along with this collection, opening the Secret collection would require you to verify using your face or finger impression. This also makes sure that no outside program can now use its picture picker to get to your private images without your permission.

On your iPhone, you can hide any pictures or videos you store using the Photographs app

    • Open the Photos program on your iPhone in order to hide a photograph.
    • From here, you can conceal a single photo or multiple photos by using the key techniques listed below.
    • Cover each image one at a time.
    • When the Photographs program opens, touch on a picture you want to store outside of the library.
    • This action will display the selected image in fullscreen mode. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of this screen to access more options.
    • Choose Stow away from the menu that appears in the flood.
    • A small one will start to appear at the base. To carry out your action, tap Conceal Photograph in this brief to carry out your action.
    • Currently, the selected photo will disappear from your library in the Photographs application.
