How Xbox Game Pass Rewards Work
Here’s how to sign up for and maximise your Xbox Game Pass Rewards.
For a monthly membership fee, Xbox Game Pass allows players to access a huge library of games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, including new releases such as Halo Infinite. While having access to a large number of games for a low price is obviously a good value, Xbox Game Pass also allows you to earn rewards points that can be used towards digital purchases or contests. These points are earned through Xbox Game Pass missions, which are a component of the Microsoft Rewards programme. Simply by playing Game Pass titles, you can earn money to spend on games or DLC.
How Microsoft Rewards Work
Microsoft Rewards is a programme that gives customers points for utilising various Microsoft services. The prizes are linked to a person’s Microsoft/Xbox account and are given for completing various tasks. They differ depending on the platform. For example, on the PC/mobile side, points are rewarded for utilising Bing as a search engine.
Points are provided to Xbox users for a variety of acts, some of which must be claimed and others which are awarded automatically. All digital game purchases on Xbox and the Windows Store automatically earn users points. There are also Xbox Game Pass objectives and special incentives accessible in the Microsoft Rewards app.
How To Earn Points
Quests for Xbox Game Pass can be found in the Xbox Game Pass section on the Xbox console, the gaming section on your profile page, or the Xbox Game Pass mobile app. There are sections for daily, weekly, and monthly quests that earn Microsoft Reward points. Many of the objectives concentrate around playing Game Pass games and achieving Achievements in Game Pass titles, which includes games you already own that are available on Game Pass. One of the fixed daily missions is to start any Game Pass game, which earns you five points. Some of the monthly missions require you to complete a particular number of daily and weekly quests during the month.
There are also quests for completing certain tasks in Xbox Game Pass games. Obtaining five items in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard or defeating two opponents in We Happy Few are two instances, with both quests providing 75 points. Once completed, these missions must be turned in, which may be done in the Xbox Game Pass reward menu or by viewing the system notification that occurs whenever a quest is completed. The quests do not need to be activated before they may be completed.
Every dollar spent on digital games earns Xbox players 20 reward points. Additional deals are now available via the Microsoft Rewards app for Xbox. Some of these provide bonus points for achieving Achievements in new releases. There are also bonus incentives for acquiring new games, which can result in up to 6000 additional reward points. These offers, unlike Xbox Game Pass tasks, must be engaged in order to be completed.
How to Redeem Points
You may also redeem your points through the Microsoft Rewards app. There are three types of redemption items: shopping, playing to win, and donating. You can redeem points in the shop category for Xbox gift cards, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, and even Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions. You can also acquire digital gift cards to a variety of establishments such as Uber Eats, Starbucks, and Taco Bell. There is also the option to create an auto-redeem for an Xbox gift card, which will automatically spend your points at the beginning of each month on an Xbox gift card at a modest discount if you have enough.
The play to win category includes a number of sweepstakes that you may enter by spending points. If you win, you will receive a personalised Xbox Series X console as well as $1,000 in Microsoft gift cards. You can use your reward points to donate money to a variety of charitable organisations via the donate section, including the World Wildlife Fund, Girls Who Code, and the AbleGamers Foundation.
