How to watch Hulu outside the US
While Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video may be the most well-known streaming services to viewers around the world, Hulu is one of the top TV and movie streaming services in the US, offering material from numerous TV networks and film studios. Hulu is practically non-existent outside of the US. The service’s geo-blocking can make it nearly hard to watch Hulu original series like The Bold Type, Castle Rock, and Only Murders in the Building if you’re an American Hulu user attempting to watch your material abroad or someone who lives elsewhere but wants to do so.
Not quite impossible, but close. As with US Netflix, HBO, BBC iPlayer, and The Criterion Channel, there is a way to get Hulu from abroad whether you want to stream live TV or catch up on episodes or movies. How? Read on. It’s important to note that on February 23, 2021, Disney Plus included a section that included Star, the international equivalent of Hulu. The majority of Hulu’s content is available on Disney+ in other countries, while there occasionally may be a minor wait. Disney+ subscriptions are available on the internet for either £7.99 per month or £79.99 per year.
Apply a VPN
Utilizing a VPN (virtual private network) service is by far the easiest and basically the only approach we advise for watching Hulu from abroad. If you’re unfamiliar, a VPN gives you an alternative IP address, which is one of the ways your internet use can be monitored online, allowing you to surf the internet anonymously. Learn more by reading our detailed VPN explanation.
Many individuals use a VPN to conceal their online activities from prying eyes, but they can also be used to trick websites into thinking you’re accessing the internet from a foreign location. For instance, if your VPN gives you a US IP address, Hulu and other websites will think you’re in the US. There is, of course, a disclaimer: this is illegal and in violation of Hulu’s terms of service and its content licensing agreements. At your own peril, continue.
