How to turn off badges in iOS 15
The procedures for deleting the red badge notifications for app-related tasks you have not completed are the same for every iOS application, both stock and those you add yourself. Because not all apps support badges, the Badge toggle will not be available. If you want to permanently disable iOS 15 Badges, follow these procedures:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Select Notifications
- Select the app or service where you want to turn off badges (i.e. Mail, Phone, Messages, Reminders, etc.)
- Where available, toggle Badges off
There is currently no method to disable all badges for all apps. Perhaps in iOS 16, this will change. Even yet, simply muting the Mail and Messages badges could greatly influence your mental health. Sure, your inbox will still be full of unread emails, but your iPhone’s home screen will no longer display the total amount every time you open it.
