We’ll look at how to get a Sylveon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, or Leafeon below since the methods for evolving an Eevee in Pokemon GO are different from what we’re used to. Evolution is much easier in Pokémon Go than in the original Eevee games. To obtain Pokémon such as Glaceon, simply rename your Eevee.
Niantic left this Easter egg referencing the anime’s Eevee trainers. After obtaining Glaceon, you can rename it to whatever you want, and the evolution will remain. To evolve any Pokémon in Pokémon Go, you must catch a certain number of the same Pokémon to receive candy. Eevee requires 25 candy to evolve, but instead of requesting a specific item, the type of Eevee evolution is determined at random.
You must rename your Eevee Rea to evolve it into the Ice-type Glaceon. This method, however, only works once—even if you rename another Eevee to Rea. Save your stronger Eevees for this method of evolution.
How To Get Glaceon In Pokemon Go
Here is a list of names for each type of evolution:
- Linnea to evolve into the Grass-type Leafeon
- Sakura to evolve into the Psychic-type Espeon
- Tamao to evolve into the Dark-type Umbreon
- Rainer to evolve into the Water-type Vaporeon
- Sparky to evolve into the Electric-type Jolteon
- Pyro to evolve into the Fire-type Flareon
Lure can also evolve Eevee into Glaceon. Use a Glacial Lure near a PokéStop to evolve Eevee into Glaceon. Instead of a Glacial Lure, use a Mossy Lure from a PokéStop to catch Leafeon. Sylveon is the sole missing Eeveelution.
