How to get a shiny Duskull in the Pokemon Go Community Day
Ready to catch a gleaming Duskull in Pokemon Go this Halloween? Because October is associated with Halloween, what better Pokemon to highlight for this month’s Community Day than a Ghost-type? And for October’s Community Day, Niantic will give trainers a plethora of chances to catch Duskull, the Hoenn region’s Ghost Pokemon.
Duskull is a powerful Pokemon in Pokemon Go, especially when evolved to Dusknoir. Dusknoir wasn’t introduced into the franchise until a generation later in the Sinnoh games, and that addition to its evolutionary line has only increased the popularity of the Ghost-type, while also making it more difficult to obtain in the mobile game.
There aren’t many Dusknoir in the Pokemon Go world that require a special evolution stone to evolve, but on this Community Day, any trainers who are having trouble finding this special stone will be given a reprieve.
Here’s everything trainers need to know about Pokemon Go’s Duskull Community Day event.
Pokemon Go Duskull Community Day Start Time
Pokemon Go Community Day with Duskull will take place on Saturday, October 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
Trainers will be able to catch as many Duskull as they can in those six hours. Trainers can use incense to attract more Duskull to their location for three hours instead of the usual one. Lure Modules used on PokeStops have a three-hour lifespan as well.
One of the many in-game benefits available during the event period is increased Incense potency. More information on these bonuses can be found in the section below.

How to Catch Shiny Duskull in Pokemon Go
The Ghost-type Pokemon, Duskull, will appear more frequently during the Community Day event, but it is Duskull’s Shiny form that trainers will want to look for this Saturday.
The likelihood of a specific Shiny Pokemon appearing during a Community Day has been shown to increase during the event. According to The Silph Road, a Pokemon Go community site, the Shiny odds for any given Pokemon are approximately 1 in 500. Certain events, such as Community Day, will, however, increase those chances. The Silph Road confirms that the odds of finding a specific Pokemon during its own Community Day are 1 in 25.
Trainers simply need to encounter every Duskull found in the wild during the six-hour window to catch a Shiny Duskull in Pokemon Go during Community Day. When a trainer is taken to the capture screen, they will discover whether or not they have discovered a Shiny.
Shiny Duskull has one of the most dramatic colour changes in the entire Pokemon universe. The Ghost-color type’s changes from grey to red. To be sure, look for the Shiny symbol next to the Pokemon’s name during the capture portion of the encounter if you don’t recognise a Shiny Duskull.
Trainers can also encounter more Duskull by using an Incense, as previously mentioned.
How to Get Duskunoir with Shadow Ball
Pokemon Go always gives the spotlight Pokemon an exclusive move to help them perform better in PVE and PVP battles. When Duskull evolves into its final evolution, Dusknoir, it will learn the powerful Ghost-type Charged move Shadow Ball.
Trainers must have their Dusknoir learn Shadow Ball between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time on October 9 to obtain this exclusive move.
Duskull requires 25 Candy to evolve into Dusclops and another 100 Candy, as well as the Sinnoh Stone, to evolve into Dusknoir. Trainers will receive 3 Candy for each Duskull captured, which can be doubled if a Pinap Berry is used while capturing.
Pokemon Go will give players the opportunity to earn up to four Sinnoh Stones by completing free Timed Research during the Community Day event, which will assist trainers who do not have Sinnoh Stones. Make sure to complete at least one of them to obtain a powerful Dusknoir before the event ends.
Trainers who miss the deadline can replace Dusknoir’s Charged move with Shadow Ball by using an Elite Charged TM. However, Elite TMs are difficult to obtain, so it’s best if you get it through the Community Day event.
