How to Complete the “Ominous Portent” Wrath of the Bride Challenge in Overwatch 2
Your Overwatch 2 Battle Pass needs leveling up, right? Fortunately for you, Blizzard has included some spooky challenges that are unique to the Halloween Terror 2022 event. However, they are only available for 14 days, so make sure you complete them all before then. You can earn a variety of challenges in the PvE version of Wrath of the Bride, but some of them—like the “Ominous Portent” challenge—might leave you baffled because they are written in enigmas. Here’s how to finish it in Overwatch 2 by seeing each of the seven Banshee moments in a single run.
“Witness All 7 Banshee Moments in a Single Run” Overwatch 2 Challenge
Ominous Portent is by far the hardest challenge you must finish during Wrath of the Bride, even if there are a few others. This is because you must rely on your three teammates, which, let’s face it, doesn’t always work, especially if you play with strangers. Once you get to the location where you must locate the gate key, continue playing past the Tavern segment. If you pick up the gate key before completing the challenge, you’ll have to go through it all over again.
You and your team will need to search the region until you see Banshee Moira seven times because she seems to show up everywhere around here (at least, that’s how we felt-we just went about until it popped). The advantage of this is that everyone on your squad will benefit if they witness a Banshee moment. So once all seven encounters have been triggered, you all receive the completion along with Kiriko’s “Tarot Reading” speech line.
But as we’ve already stated, it truly depends on your team not rushing to get the gate key. Before my group eventually decided to not press that darn key, I played eight rounds of Wrath of the Bride while pestering other players to go for the challenge. You’re better off asking your three friends than playing with random people if you know they won’t take it before the challenge is up. Anything else is just a crap shoot. Oh, and be careful once you go for the key because Moira will jumpscare the living daylights out of you.
