The fourth Expunge variation will need you to return to week one’s Labyrinth on the Tangled Shore, but this time fighting your way through a new, Taken-infested version of the original mission.
After the initial maze segment, you’ll notice that something isn’t quite right, as the Vex kingdom has become infested with Taken corruption.
Watch out for new Taken obstacles and Vex defenses, as many of them might send you tumbling down.
Continue through the platforming section of the mission, battling off enemies and depositing data spikes to clear the path.
You won’t have to wait long for the usual Vex enemies to be joined by Taken soldiers, all of whom you’ll have to pass through as you advance in the game.
You’ll eventually find yourself in the last arena from the Expunge assignment from week one, but you’ll be up against a corrupted version of the first Expunge boss: Fantis, Oppressive Mind Reborn.
You need to drop Fantis’ shield and render him vulnerable to your attacks after blasting through your initial damage phase.
Defeat each Nexus Guardian that spawns in, deposit the data spikes they drop, and finally defeat the Vex Minotaur.
After this, you shall gain the usual armor and season prizes, but you’ll also be treated to some major lore implications connected to the impending Witch Queen expansion (which will likely be expanded upon in the remaining weeks of the season).
