How to beat Aoye in Wo Long

Wo Long’s early bosses aren’t too difficult. It won’t last. Aoye is the first truly Wo Long’s first genuinely difficult boss encounter, which requires patience and learning. This guide will tell you how to beat Aoye in Wo Long.

    Time to beat Aoye

Hong Jing will battle with you—for a time. Aoye can defeat Hong Jing in two attacks, unlike prior boss bouts when the AI assistants held their own. She’ll simply get in your way. So, avoid her. To focus on the big man, let her tap out rather than waste time reviving her.

Aoye must master 12 movements in Wo Long. It usually attacks by sweeping its arms or slamming into you. Observing it shows which will be employed, although sweeps take longer to reach you than smashes. You may parry these strikes, but blocking them will lower your spirit and leave you susceptible.

    Jumping

As the headline suggests, jumping avoids most of Aoye’s strikes. If you jump, you can avoid the sweeping blows and the smashing strikes. Leap toward Aoye’s unhit side before it hits the ground. That will avoid that. But don’t leap. Your basic strike can chip damage and lower Aoye’s spirit when airborne.

Like with past Wo Long bosses, stunning Aoye by decreasing its spirit and utilizing your contextual attack when the red dot appears will do most of the damage. Aoye’s first-half side smashes follow. Hair tentacles cover its back. They will be slammed sideways and backward. Avoid it by dodging backward. Attack them from the front and back without being struck.

Its visage grows sharp icicles and stabs you repeatedly. Deflectable, although the timing is tough. Blocking is useful for this. Dodging to the side and running up to Aoye’s side and attacking until she stops is even better. Like a hair smash, it’s entirely exposed. Do a martial art to weaken it, then hit it with your basic attack to restore its spirit. Choose a weapon from a short-lived martial art.

Two of Aoye’s three important blows come early in the match. In these, it attacks or strikes. Deflect crucial strikes. You’ll need to practice timing. You’ll die faster if you can’t handle them. After repelling an assault, Aoye will collapse, giving you a chance to utilize a martial technique.

You may utilize your mortal attack on Aoye when it’s in spirit disruption by using martial arts anytime you can. When this happens, use another rapid martial art or basic strike before unleashing your contextual attack. After using this, your red spirit gauge will drain and return to normal.

Another martial art is appropriate now. After getting up, Aoye roars and blasts ice in random areas of the arena. But you’re safe if you stand right next to it, so employ another martial art before some simple attacks to refuel. When you do this, you may get pushed away, but it doesn’t hurt.

    Greetings!

Believe it or not, both phases of the fight have numerous additional moves. Aoye has numerous ways to catch up to you. It usually tries to bodyslam you. Stop. Deflect it. You can employ a martial art while it’s susceptible to hitting the ground. It slams you with its charged critical punch. Always deflect it. When you’re close, it leverages that, making it impossible to deflect.

Aoye also gets up in your business by slamming its arms against the ground as it approaches. Avoid harm by dodging backward or jumping in time. It also slides. This will cut you occasionally, but it won’t hurt much. Worst yet.

Aoye receives its two most dangerous moves at half health. Ice fills its mouth most often. It’s about to blast ice. Hold the block button, as this is hard to evade. Two fast-side dodge rolls may save you. Ultimately, it fakes its third key strike. Its crimson mouth looks to grasp you with its bizarre facial tentacles.

It’s deceptive! Aoye will approach and grasp you with her facial tentacles. Deflect the second, not the first. This will kill you. That’s it unless I missed something. You’ll need to figure out how long you have to attack between animations, depending on your weapon. Avoid greed. To defeat this enormous, nasty beast, you only need this. That’s how you beat Wo Long’s Aoye.
