How this Ferrari Roma ended up in an elevator
How does one’s Ferrari Roma be dumped into an elevator shaft,
As unbelievable as it may sound, a brand new unit of the Italian two-seater met a spectacular end… and it was unparalleled… in a luxury automobile shop in the United States.
When the elevator broke down, the Roma (which in Spain begins for 225,000 euros, options aside,) ended up plummeting down the shaft, and the pictures speak for themselves.
Whatever the case may be, the back of the Italian sports vehicle was the part that took the brunt of the impact.
Rescuers from Palm Beach Fire Rescue and a special operations rescue squad were dispatched to the area.
First, since it was difficult to remove the Ferrari under those conditions, and second, because of the additional safety measures that had to be taken.
To prevent a fire from starting, they had to turn off the building’s electricity before they could begin cleaning up the gasoline spill that was the first priority.
The actual extraction therefore needed specialised equipment, in this instance employing booms with several winches and rotating jibs to be able to spin the automobile and free it from the jam.
It was a four-hour operation that thankfully resulted in just property damage to the car (which, as can be seen in the photos, is not minor) and no injuries.
