While exploring the galaxy in Honkai: Star Rail, you can do a lot more than just complete quests. Among these is a hidden side mission in which you’ll be asked to assist two sisters in reuniting in the deserted city of Rivet Town. During the course of this mission, you will acquire the Damaged Music Box, but the game won’t reveal its purpose to you. This walkthrough will explain where to find the Damaged Music Box and how to put it to good use in HSR.

Honkai: Star Rail – How to Get Damaged Music Box
You must initiate the secret quest for the Damaged Music Box by speaking with the Weak Female in Rivet Town. You can only hear her via her window; you won’t be able to see her. Teleporting to Calyx (Crimson): Bud of Erudition and climbing the stairs until you find a window leading to her location is the quickest way to meet her.
The lady will inquire as to whether or not you have run into her sister, who has ventured into the Fragmentum in pursuit of treasure. For the time being, you should leave the sick mother alone because you haven’t seen the missing sibling.
The location of a Warp Trotter can be found by teleporting to the Orphanage Space Anchor and then traveling southeast. Killing the monster before it can escape will get you the Dirty Ribbon Tied to a Bell as a reward.
The younger sibling now awaits your return so she can receive the item. She’ll be devastated emotionally and her voice will fade away gradually. The Broken Music Box can be retrieved by re-examining the pane of glass.
Honkai: Star Rail – How to use Damaged Music Box
Returning it to the older sister is the only way to use the Damaged Music box, but you’ll need to use a teleporter to bring her back to Rivet Town. After that, return to the spot where you saw the Warp Trotter; the Anxious Woman will be waiting for you beside the trash can.
The woman will settle down and fade away after you give her the Damaged Music Box. The older sibling has passed on, and all you hear is her echoes. The game will reward you with the Praise of High Morals and the “Outworlder” award for your good deeds.
