Hogwarts Legacy: How to Flip a Dugbog on Its Back
Large amphibious animals known as Dugbogs are among the various inhabitants that have established home on the riverbanks across the realm in Hogwarts Legacy’s fantastical environment. Fights with them early in your quest will likely be difficult, but they will grow less so as you gain experience and learn useful tricks. As such, you might be curious as to how to turn a Dugbog over in Hogwarts Legacy. This is the information you’ve been waiting for.
Hogwarts Legacy: How to Flip a Dugbog on Its Back
You’ll need the appropriate spells prepared to successfully turn a Dugbog over on its back. In our testing, we discovered that the Force spells Depulso and Flipendo were particularly well-suited against this Duelling Fates obstacle. Both function in essentially the same manner.
You must first get the Dugbog’s attention by either striking it with a Basic Cast spell or approaching it and then fleeing like a coward.

You may expect the Dugbog to lunge at you and spew out its tongue after you’ve caught its attention. If you want to avoid getting charged by a Dugbog, you can use the in-game warning that pops up over your head at the precise moment the monster is due to charge.
If this happens, roll out of the path to avoid the Dugbog’s wrath. You’ll have a brief opening to cast your Force spell just as the monster rushes past you, though. With either Depulso or Flipendo, the Dugbog may be catapulted into the air and flipped onto its back if the spell is thrown at just the perfect moment.
Do your best to timing this, as you will only have a fraction of a second to take advantage of the situation. Don’t give up if you’re having trouble; it may take a few tries until you master the timing.
While Depulso won’t hurt the Dugbog directly, it will leave it defenceless while it’s on its back, so strike while you have the chance. Although Flipendo does cause some damage, your best bet is to unleash your offensive spells on the Dugbog when it is defenceless.
There’s no need to stress if you haven’t been able to locate a Dugbog thus far; we’ve got you covered.
Hogwarts Legacy: How to Find Dugbogs
The Big Spined Dugbog and the Cottongrass Dugbog are the most prevalent of the several varieties of Dugbogs found in Hogwarts Legacy. You can find a few in the Forbidden Forest close to the waterways, since they tend to live near rivers, streams, marshes, and lakes. To locate the aquatic creature, use Revelio if you are having problems doing it on your own. Below is a map showing the location where we spotted a Dugbog:
Hogwarts Legacy: Dugbogs Drops
Dugbogs commonly drop Dugbog Tongues, which may be used to make Focus Potions, which temporarily lower the cooldown of your spells. While not always dropped, Dugbog Tongues are a regular loot from most Dugbogs.
