Hogwarts Legacy: Guide for Petrificus Totalus Spell
The release of Hogwarts Legacy, one of the most talked-about games of 2023, was a huge deal for fans of the Harry Potter series since it brought the Wizarding World to life in a way that had never been done before in computer games. Petrificus Totalus, one of the most often used spells in the series, is also a powerful tool in the latest installment. Hogwarts Legacy’s Petrificus Totalus instructions are provided here.
What is Petrificus Totalus Spell?
An Essential Spell, Petrificus Totalus disables enemy so they can’t move or attack back, leaving you vulnerable. This is the equivalent of a covert kill in the Hogwarts series. But there are other, worse ways to kill in the Wizarding World if you’re searching for something more direct.
Hogwarts Legacy: Using Petrificus Totalus
You must acquire the Disillusionment Charm during the Secrets of the Restricted Section Main Quest before you may cast the Petrificus Totalus spell. Remember that the Secrets of the Restricted Section are off-limits until you have turned in Assignment 1 to Professor Hecat. As you progress through the main questline, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet both of these.
Your character can become invisible with the use of the Disillusionment Charm, letting them sneak up on or slip by their adversaries without raising suspicion. The ability to blend in with your environment greatly increases your range of stealth choices in Hogwarts Legacy.
To cautiously creep up on an opponent after using the Disillusionment Charm, you must first disorient them. Get in close enough to the screen till you see the popup advising you which button to push to cast Petrificus Totalus. The enemy will be rendered helpless if you hear your character say the name of the spell. While this spell can instantly kill most foes, stronger adversaries will regain consciousness and be able to move again after a short period of time has passed.
Upgrading Petrificus Totalus Spell
Talent Points may be used to learn Petrificus Totalus’s mastery spell if you’ve mastered the spell’s usage, attained Level 22, and finished the Jackdaw’s Rest Main Quest. Once you’ve unlocked this Mastery, your spell will be enhanced such that it has an Area of Effect and deals more damage to adjacent foes.
