“HBO Max Schedule – New TV and Movies Arriving June 6-12”
In the first week of June, HBO Max subscribers are in for a treat, as the streaming service adds fresh interesting content to its schedule. The highly anticipated Irma Vep limited series will premiere on June 6th. The thriller plot is a remake of Olivier Assayas’ 1996 film of the same name. It stars Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Tomb Raider) as an actress who joins a limited series version of the French silent cinema classic Les Vampires. Irma Vep had its world premiere at the recent Cannes Film Festival, and critics praised it. Hardcore sci-fi enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to see Season 13 of the fan-favorite British series Doctor Who, the final season with Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor.
Naomi, the first season — and likely the last, as the series hasn’t been renewed — of the live-action version of Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker’s comic book series of the same name will be seen to superhero fans. On June 10, the series will premiere on HBO Max.
The Card Counter will be accessible before the end of the week. Last year’s Venice International Film Festival saw the world debut of Paul Schrader’s drama. Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan, and Willem Dafoe are among the cast members.
