Grand Theft Auto: Online Halloween event introduces serial killers and phantom cars
Rockstar Games has released the annual Halloween event for Grand Theft Auto Online, which includes the return of previous modes as well as some new eerie events.
First and foremost, there is a phantom automobile on the loose, which pops out of nowhere and kills players. Here’s a video of a poor soul being assaulted.
There are also deadly NPCs lurking around the world, waiting to strike when you least expect it. These assassins are influenced by classic slasher horror flicks such as A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. If you are attacked by a Slasher on the streets this week and manage to kill your attacker in self-defense, you will earn the rare Twilight Knife T-shirt.
For a limited time, Halloween game modes such as Slasher, Come Out to Play, and Condemned are also available, with double XP awards.
There were also a few minor additions. This week, arcade owners can add the new Camhedz cabinet to their Arcade. Alien Survivals returns as well, with twice GTA cash and RP.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of GTA 3’s original release, GTA Online players will receive a free in-game tee sporting the Baseball Bat from GTA 3.
For those who like to drive, LS Car Meet participants who finish in the top four in eight different Pursuit Series Races will receive the Dinka RT3000.
