Google Meet roll out a new feature enabling users to stream and share video content across the web
Google Meet will soon release a new feature that will allow users to stream and share any of their video material across the internet. With services like YouTube and Spotify as well as mobile games like UNO! Mobile, the solution enables “live sharing” integrations. You may continue interacting with your friends while playing a range of mobile games or streaming YouTube movies on Google Meet, much like Apple SharePlay.
How can I use the feature?
By going to the newly added “Activities” tab, users can enable the new streaming feature. The shared experience can then be started by users by tapping the relevant icon, such as Spotify. Mobile and tablet devices will see this upgrade throughout August 2022; other devices will get it later. Some of the integrations, like the Spotify integration, are only available to people who pay for Spotify.
Users will also be able to use in-meeting chat and captions for more ways to engage throughout the meeting. You will be able to change your background or add visual effects before you go into a meeting.
